[It was two weeks he was gone. Two weeks ago Asbel departed from Luceti to go on a mission. It wasn't anything too out of the ordinary. A simple mission off to the mountains to combat third party soldiers. If there was one thing Asbel knew how to do well, it was fight. Not that the mission went off without a hitch, but... Well, it was successful, at least.

Asbel walks through the plaza towards his house, his white coat draped over his shoulders instead of being worn, and his left arm is hanging in a makeshift sling. He probably should stop by the clinic to get that treated properly, but... Well, he's more concerned with getting home to everyone first. He wants to see Cheria and Richard again. If you spot him in the plaza, you're certainly free to inquire and perhaps try to get him to go to the clinic, but...

Regardless of what happens in the plaza, Asbel soon arrives at his house, calmly opening the door as he steps inside.]

Cheria, Richard, Isamu... ...I'm home. [He's looking pretty beat, and there's that whole arm issue, but... he's home.]

[Sometime later, after recouping a bit, Asbel pulls out his journal, wanting a few answers. Two weeks is a long time to be away in a village where things can change overnight.]

Did something happen in the village while I was gone? It looks like something went down at the Battle Dome.

[With everything that's been happening lately, ranging from Richard being poisoned to the Battle Dome being invaded, Cheria's been worrying herself to exhaustion. After preparing breakfast, she went back to her room, decided to rest her eyes and promptly fell asleep, still fully-dressed. Tiger Festival decided to join her shortly after, curling up against her legs for a nice long nap.

What will you do, Asbel?]

[He's going to try and wake her, of course! He's been looking for her, after all, and after not finding her downstairs at all, he figures her bedroom is probably the next best place to look.]

Cheria.

[She stirs at the sound of her voice, then her eyes slowly open. They come to rest on Asbel and it takes a moment for everything to sink in.

He's back. Asbel is back.

Cheria immediately sits up once she comes to that realization, a somewhat startled expression on her face. Tiger Festival awakes as well, but aside from purring loudly, there isn't much of a response.]

A-Asbel! You're... When did you get back? Are you hurt?

[After the reaction Richard had, he's not surprised by Cheria's reaction. He was gone for two weeks, after all, and then just turns up suddenly. They were probably worried sick, even if they knew he was on a mission.]

Yeah... I just got back about an hour ago. [He dodges that second question for now, but, well... it's painfully obvious.]

[Of course it's obvious. The hidden questions behind the question were: "What happened?" and "Why is your arm in a sling?" Clearly, Asbel is not about to answer her that easily.]

An hour ago? Have you been to the clinic yet?

I was actually hoping you could look at it instead. [He'd much rather Cheria take care of him than someone at the clinic.]

I treated it as best I could, but... Well, I'm not an expert.

... Here, let me see...

[She moves to sit on the side of the bed, peering at Asbel's arm with a somewhat worried expression. If it's in a sling, it's bound to be a pretty bad injury, and shoddy treatment could make it worse. What did you do to your arm, Asbel?]

[Asbel slowly undoes the knot for his sling, giving his arm leverage with his free hand (and wincing when he does so) once the cloth drops.

All things considered, it's not as bad as it could have been. No shattered bones, nothing sticking out... Just broken and bruised in places. He had the arm in a stint, at least, so it's not he was running around with it completely untreated.]

This is... [She reaches out to carefully press her fingers against Asbel's arm, hoping to assess the damage. That stint is there for a reason and the bruising is only comfirming her suspicions.]

A fracture?

[A quiet nod.]

Did you set the bone yourself? [It doesn't seem like he did a bad job with that.]

I did.

[She lets out an inaudible sigh, before raising both hands to summon healing magic. Honestly, she would've preferred it if Asbel had gone straight to the clinic. With the barrier dampening the effects of her artes, she's not sure how much good her spells will do.]

[Well, excuuuuuse me, Princess. Sorry for him preferring your skills, Cheria.

Asbel just remains still as Cheria works her magic, keeping his breathing steady and even.]

[It takes a while before Cheria is satisfied enough to halt her healing magic. When she does, she looks up at Asbel with a worried expression.]

How does that feel? Can you move your arm and fingers?

[He doesn't say anything for a moment, as he focuses on the arm. But after about half a minute or so, he starts to at least move his fingers without too much difficulty.]

...Yeah. It still hurts, but it feels a lot better now.

[That's a good sign, but Cheria would rather be safe than sorry. She sits back again, breathing a mild sigh.]

It needs a lot more rest before it's fully healed. Leave it in the sling as long as possible, all right?

Ah, yeah... Of course! I know that... [He bends down to grab the cloth he dropped earlier to tie it back around his shoulder. ...Or at least try to. It's pretty hard to do one-handed.]

Oh, here, let me help you. [She's going to ignore any objection Asbel may make as she leans forward on the bed to try and get a hold of the cloth.]

[He's not going to object to Cheria trying to help him.

...He may, however, object to the awkward position Cheria's forcing him into.]

Umm... Cheria?

[She hardly notices the awkward position- she's too busy trying to tie the sling around Asbel's neck.]

Yes?

I don't think this is going to work.

No, I can do this. [Geez, Asbel, she just needs to tie the thing around your neck. It's not that hard, as long as you keep your arm still.]

Cheria, really... [Listen to him, Cheria. You're going to either fall on top of him or give him a faceful of Cheriaboob. ...Not that he'll know what to do about the latter.]

[She's almost done, really! She just needs to loop her arms around Asbel's neck to tie the knot. Theeere we go. Done.

... Oh. Oh wait. Now her arms are around Asbel's neck. She really did not think this through.]
