[He almost didn't want to believe it at first. That she was gone. He noticed she was missing several days ago, but he didn't say anything at first. It was kept secret between he, Richard, and Isamu. Why? Who knows. Denial, maybe? Stubbornness? Or maybe he just wanted to believe that she'd be back...

It wasn't that he was upset over her departure, per se. He was glad his oldest companion was able to return to Ephinea. He was happy for all of them to get that chance. ...But it hurt every time. They were his friends, every one of them, and he had the chance to spend time with them is a way he'd never have back home. And this time... it hurt even more. He had a special bond with her, a relationship. Something he probably wouldn't have even conceived of back home. And now it's gone.

He knows he couldn't keep quiet about it. He's sure she's made friends here, just like he has. It'd only be right to say something.]

If any of you knew her... It looks like Cheria Barnes has gone home. She'll be missed.

[There's a sigh.] ...Does anybody knows what happens when people leave Luceti? I mean, they're actually going home, right? [And not to something far worse.]

[The feed ends there, but then it resumes about ten minutes later.]

[There was someone at the door? That's strange. He didn't recall inviting anyone over...]

Who could that be? [Setting his journal down, he walks over to the door, giving the knob a turn. Slowly, he opens the door.]

[And there she is! Cheria looks a little ragged, her hair without its usual ribbons and her hands both firmly holding the journal to her chest. For a moment, she just seems almost surprised, but then a smile of relief spreads across her face.]

A-Asbel! You're still here!

[While Cheria might look relieved, Asbel just looks incredibly shocked.]

Ch-Cheria?! What are you doing here?!

[... Well. That is certainly not the Welcome Home that Cheria was hoping for. Her face falls again.]

What do you mean, what am I doing here? I came home!

[Uh-oh, now she's mad.]

Yeah, but... I thought you were gone!

I was gone! But now I've returned.

Yeah, but...!

[Still not the Welcome Home she was expecting. Now that she thinks about it, she's not sure why she even got her hopes up. Asbel will be Asbel.]

... How much time has passed?

[He opens the door fully for her to come in. This is your house, Cheria.]

Huh? ...A few days, I guess?

[She doesn't enter just yet, though. She just stands there, looking shocked.]

A... A few days?

[Now he just looks confused. Did he stutter?]

Yeah, a few days. Three or four, I think.

That's... [She can't even finish that sentence. These time discrepancies are just mindblowing.]

Well, at least I haven't missed too much, then!

[Okay, Asbel may be kind of slow, but he's been in Luceti long enough to know that she's not the first returnee he's known. Because that was Richard.]

Cheria.

[She's a little taken aback by that sudden change in Asbel's tone of voice.]

Y-yes?

[His tone shifts back to a more gentler, inquisitive one.]

Just... how long were you gone, then?

[[Her fingers grip the journal more tightly to her chest, before relaxing again.]

It was... More than six months.

[What follows is an expression of pure shock.]

Six months...?

... Yes.

[And what a crazy six months it was. Especially near the end when they all got together again for another little 'adventure'.]

...I see. Then... you're just like Richard now.

Like Richard... Yes, I suppose I am.

Everything's okay, right?

[She's not sure just how much detail she can share with Asbel- It's a pretty long and complicated story, after all, but... She can definitely give him a warm smile.]

Yes. Yes, everything is more than okay.

[He's glad she's not going in-depth. He wants to experience what's going to happen for himself, so just the assurance that everything works out is enough for him.]

That's great to hear... It means we're doing our job, right?
